Works of arts are very delicate and fragile and might be permanently damaged by the slightest touch. The oil on our hands or the traces of moisture on our fingertips can damage even what appears to be a solid work of art. One of the roles of a museum is to preserve the artworks of the past and present for the future generations and we need to help to ensure that these works of art in our care are sustained for years to come.
You can always find any information on upcoming events on the YSMA website and on all our social media platforms.
The YSMA is open to donations of artworks that will facilitate the teaching mission of the museum. Individuals, groups, or institutions that wish to donate artworks to the museum should contact the director of the museum for further inquiries. We are happy to guide you through the process.
